How we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information — and the choices you have over your data.

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Compounding Memo LLC, doing business as The Compounding Memo (“Compounding Memo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit compoundingmemo.com (the “Website”) or subscribe to any Compounding Memo products or services.

By using the Website or subscribing to our services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  • Our Website (compoundingmemo.com)
  • Email subscriptions and newsletters
  • Paid subscription purchases and billing
  • Customer communications
  • Downloadable content access (such as reports, PDFs, and portfolio allocation files)

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

A.Information You Provide to Us

When you subscribe, purchase a subscription, or contact us, you may provide:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Billing address
  • Payment-related details (processed through Stripe)
  • Subscription status and purchase history
  • Account login information (email address and password) for your account on the Website
  • Communications you send to us (support emails, inquiries, etc.)

B.Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Website, certain information may be collected automatically, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on the Website
  • Referral source (how you arrived at the Website)

This information may be collected through cookies or analytics tools.

C.Email Marketing Information

If you subscribe to our newsletters, we may collect information related to email engagement, including:

  • Whether an email was opened
  • Whether a link was clicked
  • Subscription preferences
  • Unsubscribe status

03Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe through our website platform, Squarespace. Stripe’s Link feature may also be offered at checkout to save your payment details for faster future purchases. When you make a purchase, your payment information (such as your credit card number) is collected and processed directly by Stripe; we never receive it.

Compounding Memo does not store full credit card numbers.

Stripe’s handling of your data is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy and terms.

04How We Use Your Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide paid subscriptions and deliver purchased content
  • To process payments and manage billing
  • To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, access links, subscription updates)
  • To send newsletters and subscription communications
  • To respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • To improve our Website and services
  • To detect fraud, unauthorized access, or abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

05How We Deliver Subscription Content

Subscription materials are delivered in two ways:

  • Email — subscriber alerts, such as notice of intra-month trades, sent from our @compoundingmemo.com business email, which is hosted by Microsoft 365. Squarespace also sends account and order emails on our behalf.
  • Subscriber-only pages on the Website — downloadable PDFs and portfolio allocation files, hosted by our website platform, Squarespace.

Your email address and other necessary account information are processed by Squarespace (website, accounts, and subscriber pages), Stripe (payments), and Microsoft (email) strictly for content delivery, account access, and subscription management.

06Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share personal information only in the following situations:

A.Service Providers

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who help operate our business, such as:

  • Payment processing
  • Email marketing and newsletter delivery
  • File hosting and content delivery
  • Website hosting, analytics, or security services

These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us.

B.Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect our rights, property, or safety
  • Prevent fraud or security threats
  • Enforce our Terms of Use

C.Business Transfers

If Compounding Memo LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or business restructuring, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

07Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to:

  • Improve Website functionality
  • Understand how visitors use the Website
  • Measure performance and traffic

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may impact certain Website functionality.

Affiliate links. Some links on our Website, such as those on our Toolkit page, are affiliate links. If you click one, the partner or its affiliate network may place a cookie or similar identifier on your device to record that you came from our Website, so that we can be credited for a resulting purchase. That tracking takes place on the partner's site and is governed by the partner's privacy policy. We generally receive only reports of referrals and commissions, and we never receive your payment details.

Third-party content. Some pages load content or data from third-party services, such as live market data delivered through Google. When those pages load, the service may receive your IP address and basic browser information.

08Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals to websites. Because there is currently no universally accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our Website does not currently respond to or alter its practices when it receives a DNT signal from a visitor’s browser.

09Email Communications and Opt-Out

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email, where one is included, or by replying to any of our emails and asking to be removed. We honor opt-out requests within 10 business days.

Please note that unsubscribing from marketing emails may prevent you from receiving certain non-promotional communications related to your subscription.

To manage billing or cancel a paid subscription, use your account settings on the Website or contact us. Unsubscribing from emails does not cancel a paid subscription.

10Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide services and fulfill subscriptions
  • Maintain business records
  • Comply with legal and tax obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce agreements

We may retain certain information even after cancellation if required for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes.

11Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information.

However, no system can guarantee complete security. You use the Website and services at your own risk.

12Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected individuals in accordance with applicable law. Notification may be provided via email or by posting a notice on our Website.

13Third-Party Links and Services

Our Website, newsletters, or subscription content may contain links to third-party websites or services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites. You should review their privacy policies separately.

14Children’s Privacy

Our Website and services are not intended for children under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it.

15Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request:

  • Access to personal information we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of your personal information
  • Information about how your data is used

To make a request, contact us at contact@compoundingmemo.com.

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

16California Privacy Rights (CCPA Notice)

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

  • The right to know what personal information is collected
  • The right to request deletion
  • The right to opt out of the sale of personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Compounding Memo does not sell personal information.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality based on your exercise of privacy rights.

You may submit a privacy request by emailing contact@compoundingmemo.com.

17Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
